This is a consequence of how computers store floating point numbers. 0.1 cannot be exactly represented in a computer. This is not a CoDeSys thing. Here is a link to a converter to show you the exact value that is represented when you use a REAL data type (which is a 32 bit float). https://baseconvert.com/ieee-754-floating-point If you really need to keep track of 0.1 increments. use INT OR DINT and then add 1 each time and assume that there is one decimal place.

Hello everybody I have two of these EtherCat CiA402 stepper driver from Leadshine: https://www.leadshine.com/product-detail/EM3E-556E.html I want to controll them. I already have implemented them in Codesys with Softmotion. I see the position, the velocity and the status word so I can read everything. See picture 1. But when I want to write something like MC_Power or MC_MoveAbsolut with the SM3_Basic library it wont work and with the MC_Reset POU it shows: "SMC_R_DRIVE_DOESNT_ANSWER". See picture...
Thanks Edwin. I have reviewed the example and I'm doing basically the same when calling the methods. The recipe files are in the right directory. Everything looks okay but simply it doesn't work. May migrating to Codesys 3.5.20 will solve this?
I have a problem with a project that uses EtherCAT Safety. The project is developed with CODESYS version 3.5.19.20, runtime 3.5.18.30, safety CPU EL6900 4.3.1.0, TCEL6900FBS 3.5.1.10, IODrvEL6900 4.3.1.0, IODrvEtherCAT 4.1.0.0. The safety project works correctly, but when I download the PLC project for modifications, the ESM objects are no longer aligned with the states inside the safety program. Specifically, inside the safety program, they are seen as true, while outside the safety program, the...
does this recipe example help you here? https://forge.codesys.com/prj/codesys-example/home/Home/ https://forge.codesys.com/prj/codesys-example/recipe-manageme/home/Home/ and additional keep in mind that all files which are generated / or read should be exist in the iecfilepath this means: for Windows (Control Win as example) c:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\268E8ADF\PlcLogic for Linux /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic

Hey there, I am pretty new to the codesys space, but I got a codesys control basic M license for my raspberry pi that isntalled with no problem yesterday. Today, I went to install the visualization M locense as well because I went over the variable limit and am getting a "servernotfound" error in codesys when attempting to activate. I also tried to follow the advice in some other threads and install using a license request file on the web interface but am getting a message saying "An internal error...
Hi Dave. Thanks for your answer. I still struggling with this. I have done everything according with the Codesys help even I have looked in detail at the example. I have double checked the recipe manager configuration and the use of all the methods. There are two methods that do not work as expected. I'm using Codesys 3.5.19.20 and recipe management 4.4.0.0 .CreateRecipe just create a recipe in the recipe definition but do not create the file. This have a walk around just giving a .ReadAndSaveRecipe...
